I was looking at their site and it looks like you can now just register a year at a time, only $16 a year US? Anyone have any experience with registering though them?

I registered with them, back in August, only a day or two after they started doing business. Things seem fine. Domain was up and running in less than 24 hours.

Wow! when did they start the 1-yr thing?
BTW, I just registered a domain with them late on a Friday night, and Saturday afternoon it was working,no problems.

I am a staunch supporter of Joker myself. Forget about those long bureaucratic processes of changing the owner, any contact (admin, tech, billing). They are all done extremely easily at their "Service Zone" and eveything comes in one attractive price. ;)[nbsp][nbsp]The only thing they need work on is the design and proffesionalism of their site. Other than that, they are great and I would reccomend them highly. :)

I have registered 2 names with them. I had a few problems on the 2nd. It was fixed in a flash, thanks to them.

Plus I second everything Tatu said.

Now get to those windows Deb.

I just wanted to report on my continued dealings with Joker.com.

I became a reseller in the last month.[nbsp][nbsp]It was a little bit of a challenge to get started.[nbsp][nbsp]Resellers set up an account and transfer funds to them ($500 minimum) and then fees for registrations are deducted from that account.[nbsp][nbsp]The most challenging part is that they require fund transfer requests and all registrations to be done via PGP-signed email.[nbsp][nbsp]Having never used keys/signatures before, I struggled to get it set up.[nbsp][nbsp]But now that I have, it is a snap to order new domains.

It literally takes less than two minutes to register a new domain.[nbsp][nbsp]Every domain name I have registered so far has been operational within a day.[nbsp][nbsp]You can choose to register a name from 1-10 years.[nbsp][nbsp]The cost is less than $15/yr (approx. $16 minus 10% resellers discount.)[nbsp][nbsp]And best of all, after getting pushed around by Network Solutions for years, I can finally take my business elsewhere!

I suppose there is always the possibility they could go out of business or take a permanent Oktoberfest with my money, but to this point I am very satisfied.

Ted, I appreciate the offer, however, since the registration fee is deducted from our account, our clients do pay us by check prior to registration.[nbsp][nbsp]Also, we do not offer domain name registration apart from our other services.

Paul, I want to register a domain.[nbsp][nbsp]I was going to use Joker anyhow.

Do you have a link I can click on to register so that you can get a commission?[nbsp][nbsp]That way I get my domain at no extra cost, and you get to test the system.

Or is it that I have to pay you, then the money is taken out of your account?[nbsp][nbsp]If that's the case might be more difficult...
