What do you guys think it would cost me to get Tatu.com ?

A guy from California named Gary owns it right now and uses it as his modern art and literature display case. Do you think I could get it for $500 and a couple domain names I can buy this guy (all I can spend)? Of course, I would agree to have a link to his new address on my main page

I mean, it sounds ok (if you pronounce it like "Tatoo"), but it could never go for radio ads. Why? Because Tatoo.com goes to some absurd About.com guide (please take my word for it and don't "see where it goes," they don't need to think this is a traffic booster). So when an ad says "GO TO TATU.COM" people might end up going to some sexual content site (which all of the Tatoo.--- domains are), and that means that my image goes down. "Tatoo" (the mispelling of "Tattoo") must be some sort of naughty word I have never heard of in my life. Why the freaks would Tatoo .com/.net forward to freak sites otherwise? And don't get me started on the Tattoo domains. What is up with every single online tattoo parlor being in California? :D

So in other short, summarized words, I want your oppinion on my ability to get Tatu.com and your estimation on how much it would cost me to get Tatoo.com as well as Tattoo.com (so I know how long I need to save up or how well to run my business) ;) .

Have you contacted Gary Epting, owner of tatu.com to see if he has any interest in selling this domain?[nbsp][nbsp]You never know what someone might do...maybe you could lease it from him if he doesn't want to sell yet.[nbsp][nbsp]Tatu.net was purchased/registered on the 21st of this month, so options are dwindling.

Tatoo.com, same as above, ask them about purchase/lease options.[nbsp][nbsp]If so, how much?[nbsp][nbsp]Tatoo.net IS for sale, contact: moneyman@turbocash.com, or check out the Whois data base for more info.
This may give you a lower end "ball park" price range for tatoo.com.[nbsp][nbsp]It'll be interesting to see what price the owners of tatoo.net want for their domain name.

Let the domain owners throw their price out into the ring first, then make a counter offer, or if the price is in your budget, snap it up.

This of course is only valid if the perspective owners are even interested in selling or leasing their domain names.

Good luck,
Scott
btw: tattoo.com, owned by J. Kaye = Goldmine.

Thanks for the response.

I haven't talked to Gary about it YET, but I figure I will in January (possibly February). I just wanted to get what you guys think it will cost me just to get Tatu.com, Tatoo.com, or Tattoo.com .

I noticed Tatoo.net was for sale (they put that in their registry) so I will give them a ring.
