View Full Version : I blew my registration with Joker...
I made the mistake of using the [easy] registration instead of the [advanced].[nbsp][nbsp]Now I have my domain registered with their servers instead of FQ![nbsp][nbsp]Sheesh...[nbsp][nbsp]I have had nothing but trouble with this registration. (NOT WITH JOKER, WITH NETWORK SOLUTIONS FIRST, THEN WITH THE REGISTER.COM PEOPLE)
Does anyone know how to use that service zone from Joker? I want to transfer the domain to FQ where I have things ready for hosting.[nbsp][nbsp]Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA
hehhee...[nbsp][nbsp]nevermind.[nbsp][nbsp]The people at Joker sent me a step by step note! It was a breeze to get modified![nbsp][nbsp]I'm amazed at the service....[nbsp][nbsp]glad to see it's still a priority for some!
Happy here in San Diego![nbsp][nbsp]=)

I have to agree that Joker (despite the name) is a far better service.
I tried registering a domain with TotalNIC twice. Both times it timed out on the last page. I gave up and tried with NS and still dont know what happened to my registration request. Last night I tried with Joker and it came through without a hitch.

I have been watching the posts on futurequest regarding www.joker.com (http://www.joker.com) for a few months now.
I used them to register a domain name for the first time this morning. All went smooth, I used the futurequest names/numbers.
www.joker.com (http://www.joker.com) had the registration complete in 2-3 hours, and a whois on core, shows the domain up.
Thanks for the clue (I don't remember who did the first post about them)
The registration cost 70 DM. How much is that in USD ?

I vote for Lupe's currency conversion skills. :D

Deutsche Marks are worth about 50 U.S. cents each. So $37 is a rather rough and accurate calculation. ;)[nbsp][nbsp]
Thanks for the great laugh, Rich! LOL
Joker has everything streamlined, too. The service zone is so automated that it beats Register.com and NetworkSolutions, Inc.'s (NSI) "Make Changes" pages hands down. I'd probably pick Joker over the others even if they raised their prices over $70 USD!
Ok, I know I keep plugging Joker so much i these forums but I love them to death! Dang I just wish they had an affiliate program, I'd sign up when my next website is up in a flash.

EDIT: I had my own little "I blew my registration with Joker!" moment yesterday, too.
EDIT: Also, I think it is $24 more per domain with their "easy name servers" (or whatever the heck they call it)

The actual US cost varies with the daily conversion ... my last three converted to $34.88 each ... just depends on which day they run the funds capture.
