OK, I'm confused. I've tried to read everything, but may have missed something, or may just be short on brains.

I want to register a domain name. The registration services ask for a name server. I intend to use the domain within my current domain on FQ, do I give them an FQ DNS server? Which one?

Or is it easier to just let FQ do all the registering? Does FQ still register for its customers? Thanks!

I know I've read elsewhere here that FQ isn't registering domains anymore.[nbsp][nbsp]More information on how FQ recommends registering domains, and the DNS info you're asking about, is available at http://register.futurequest.net

There are a lot of companies registering domain names now.[nbsp][nbsp]register.com and networksolutions.com still do it for $70 for the first two years.[nbsp][nbsp]When it comes to inexpensive registration, I've had real good service from www.joker.com (http://www.joker.com) who does it for $45... they register domains fast and their service (when I've had to make changes) has been very good.[nbsp][nbsp]I've also used www.firstdomain.net (http://www.firstdomain.net) at $50, but they took longer than joker.[nbsp][nbsp]And now I see elsewhere about www.totalnic.net (http://www.totalnic.net) who will do it for $35... I'm about to do a domain or two with them to see how they do.

Thanks, Joe. I went to Joker.com, but they asked for a DNS and that threw me for a loop. If I'm running with FQ, shouldn't I give an FQ domain name server, or should I just go with the one Joker gives?

I registered my domains with joker.com, although it was a few months ago. But I didn't go with the DNS they offer. I put in FQ's DNS numbers.

Yup, use the FutureQuest numbers on the register.futurequest.com page...

ns1.futurequest.net[nbsp][nbsp]208.243.19.2[nbsp][nbsp]etc.

And FutureQuest's handle is COCO-7242 for the technical and zone contacts.
