Argh I feel like such a newbie, I promise I tried to navigate through the FAQs at FQ and search for relevant posts here in the community forums but....
After pulling my hair out with the free webpage hosters (Geocities, Freeserve here in England etc.) and realising that because I will be country hopping fairly frequently (England/Australia and back and forth) I finally realised that the smartest thing to do would be to register a domain name and pay for it to be hosted.
I've always liked FutureQuest because they let me peak in on their bulletin boards, they/you seem very customer friendly, they/you definitely seem to know what they are doing sys admin wise from the limited experience I had with an internet company back in Oz.
Now after that long ramble here comes my question:
I don't own a company, I'm insignificant pond scum as far as the internet goes - I just like having my own little corner on the web where I can put up snaps of my family, my essays from college etc.
Am I *allowed* (as an individual) to have a .com or a .net address?[nbsp][nbsp](The reason I ask is that back in Oz you had to have a company to have a .com.au address).[nbsp][nbsp]
Ummm that's my only question at the moment.
