One quicky question, am I supposed to receive an e-mail confirmation of my domain transfer from Internic stating that all is propagated? Because I already have access to FQ, and I am not sure if everyone everywhere does. But then again, my site will be launched in alittle less then two weeks so it should be propagated by then, right?
Thanks...

Now for question 2... I am back with
the Internic issues! (agh!)
I've had a previous, BAD experience with a hosting company called 1st Host International. They registered 2 of my domain names in the summer. THEN I noticed they put me in as the billing contact and them as the registrant!
Well, I e-mailed them and they agreed to change it. A month or two passed, no change. So I e-mailed them and everytime they would just say "alittle while longer" or "we will try again." (I fell for this because at teh time, I was dumb and didn't know much about Internic).
Now I, being informed about the issues & fearing for my domains, starting e-mailing them and getting no replies. Finally I threatened to file complaints and practice my right to take legal action freely.
I received an e-mail THEN, saying to fill the Domain Registration Agreement and get new tracking #s and she would take care of the rest.
So here is my dillemma, I have no clue about filling one of those agreements. (agreement is found at ftp://rs.internic.net/templates/domain-template.txt (http://ftp://rs.internic.net/templates/domain-template.txt)
The internic help doesn't help at all... they just use the word "new" in parenthesis!
So here is my question after all of this blabber: When I fill this out, do I put in the current info from whois or put in my new info? What do I put in Oa. N M or D?
I am so confused. I have tried this time and time again. I always get a "Error: Domain already taken" message.
Please help somebody!
Thank you soooo much in advance!
The reason I am so worried is because well, they have my domains! That and one of them is of some value.

Oh wait! I forgot to ask if FQ does domain "parking"? If not I'll be switching to Register.com so I do not have to pay $7 per domain monthly to a wretched company that is... WRETCHED! (the company I am talking about is NOT FQ by any means, I am still talking about 1st Host Int.)
Wheeewwww! All of THAT was a *HUGE* load off of my back! I should be paying you guys my monthly hosting charge rate just for the tech support!
Thanks once more...
PS: This was such a releif to just talk about it, may I consider a forum in here called "Therapy"??? LOL! http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
It's hard to say exactly what you need to do without knowing what domain you are referring to, how it is listed etc....
The FAQ is at http://rs.internic.net/reg-change/rncafaq.html
What I do know is that the CURRENT registrant (your other host) has the final say over the domain -- meaning THEY need to apply for the change not you. The registrant is the legal owner of the domain and as such they are the ones who can make the changes.... I suggest reading the FAQ, and contacting Internic... then once you are 'well informed' get on the old host to do what they should do, since they didn't do what they should've done in the first place.
Yes we offer domain parking, we charge a $25 one time fee for it... register.com is free http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif

Nice to hear you got sorted so quickly Babe. My Internic probs seem to be magnifying themselves http://www.aota.net/ubb/frown.gif My own domain is still on my old web hosts server and my subscription with them ends 19th of this month. Another domain that I'm transferring to FQ has just had their old subscription expire so I had to cough up a further $21 just to keep the site alive till the end of the month. And I'm STILL waiting for them to change the email admin contact. Sigh ..

I just took a look at the FAQ, Internic constantly uses the word "new". That really seems to be too vague. And I have already complained about it, not once, not twice, but thrice.
I try contacting them but it is so tedious (and can be expensive by phone). I have already e-mailed them 3 times, I never get a response.
Also, on Deb's comment, "What I do know is that the CURRENT registrant (your other host) has the final say over the domain -- meaning THEY need to apply for the change not you."
Actually, I can do it too, it is actually a long process of having a peice of paper being sent around and from me to her and us signing it -- then sending it to Internic. I wonder why EVERYTHING w/ internic has to be so hard!
It really ticks me off! http://www.aota.net/ubb/frown.gif
Well, I was just wondering if you guys would know anything about this...
