Oh boy, I just have to tell you folks about 2 super utilities I discovered. FREE! In fact, they're so great that all of you probably know about them already.

#1 is PowerDesk, a file manager that puts Windows Explorer so far behind that it's hardly a dot on the horizon. Check it out at...

http://www.ontrack.com/

#2 is Runnit, an excellent pop-up launcher. Written in C. This one is at...

http://www.magister-lex.at/RUNit/

The website is the program author's & verrry austere. The topmost listed version of Runnit is the latest & greatest.

Both of these programs are small downloads. In fact, Runnit is only 36K!

Aloha from Hawaii,

Hi Bellgamin

I haven't tried RUNit yet, but I have to support your remarks about PowerDesk.

I have been running PowerDesk through quite a few releases now, om Win95, Win98, NT4 Server/WS and Win 2000 Pro, with nary a problem - it's just the best ;)[nbsp][nbsp]

I have to say, though, that good ol' WinZip is still my app of choice - OnTrack's ZipMagic just isn't up there :(

While on the OnTrack subject, can anyone tell me where I can find more info about their updater product "EasyUpdate" - they make it, and obviously use it, but I'm danged if I can find out how to buy it :(
