Frontpage 98 question

I have been importing images or pictures from c drive to frontpage explorer and then I go into frontpage editor and insert them onto my web page. When I save the page or go out of the editor page, it saves the images as jpg or gif files. I then have two saved files of the same image in my image section. One is bmp file and the other is jpg or gif file. Can I just delete the bmp file? Or do I need to keep both in there.

You can safely delete the .bmp files. Better yet, don't import them to start with. When you insert them in a web page, just do so from the c: drive (rather than the \images directory). Then, when you save the page, FP98 will prompt you to save the images, too. (Make sure you specifiy the directory.) Ergo, you get only one copy.
