My liaison with fonts began 6 months ago, it... was a brief fling that was soon forgotten for many months, until now.
[nbsp]
There I saw it, an image with a delectable little strawberry swirling around and around with a brief description: Fontalicious
To tell you the truth, I saw no 'alicious'. I just saw the word 'font' so I clicked... five times. Then it started. I downloaded one, then another, then another, until I had 3 dozen... and that is the last thing I can remember. My mind goes blank, until the time I was awaked by Fredrico San Papa Dela Pumpkin Espresso somewhere in Peru.
And that is why I have come here today, to share with you Fontalicious.

ohhh PULLEEESSSE don't get me started again!
My sponsor told me that the worst thing I could do for myself is hang out with my old friends in a font shop... It's the fastest way to loose my *90 days clean* pin!

LOL - all this time I've been using only what Windoze provided me :)[nbsp][nbsp]I guess I'm easy to please when it comes to fonts - Arial, Comic Sans MS, and Verdana are all I use (and of course Courier)...
But there were a couple at the above link that I had to download... :)

*LOL*[nbsp][nbsp]I was turned on to the wonders of Fonts by Dani(elle), my partner in crime...[nbsp][nbsp]:D
At one point, I actually had more fonts than she did...[nbsp]

I had 643 installed fonts before Win98 said no more, and the graphics programs revolted and refused to load them or show some of them.
I am weaning myself, I am down to about 150 or so now... but I liked some that I saw at the sites listed above. Maybe I will go back and just take another look around...

Over 1100 at last count...[nbsp][nbsp]Pentium 166 takes a few minutes to process them all, but my nice Celeron is much faster.[nbsp][nbsp]:)

I am stuck on dingbat fonts - love to use them in place of clip art type illustrations, so easy to resize, all nice and anti-aliased to start with . . . .

Not including font cds I have, I must have about 700-800 on my system.[nbsp][nbsp]Not all installed due to not wishing to take all day to load a program.[nbsp][nbsp]I love the fontlister software program... awesome.
Hi, I'm Joe and you can't prove that I'm addict to fonts! LOL. <in a deep masculine voice>
edit: my best advice is to only keep what you really need and use regularly installed, and keep the rest in a seperate font directory elsewhere.[nbsp][nbsp]Then just install as needed.

I learned the hard way that it takes FOREVER for Windows to load if you have a ton of fonts...[nbsp][nbsp]so I load them ONLY when I need them.
Surprisingly enough, though, for you fontaholics...[nbsp][nbsp]the person who stole my domain name (we named our company because the domain was available, but didn't register it until it was too late) - runs a place called Fonts for Freaks.

Guess how I knew that... ;)

Oh my, you must of been hitting yourself and pulling out your hair (if you have any) for quite awhile. You had to have been pretty angry (that domain name would have been cool), I know because I myself just got angry at the person reading your last post! I swear, I think I need to start seeing a therapist and watching Eyondla on Oprah!

Well...[nbsp][nbsp]we kinda waited MONTHS...[nbsp][nbsp]so it's our fault in the first place.[nbsp][nbsp]But around then I had no time to do web design anyhow... it's only about now that I have time to play with that stuff.[nbsp][nbsp]The person didn't actually "steal" it, just obviously arrived at the same conclusion we did when we took the name.
Now, I wonder if I can sue them for copyright infringement... LOL - keep up the good work Tatu, just learned more about Beanie babies in one day than I ever thought I would know...
