One of my most interesting places to go is inside the human mind...

Don't have a URL for it, but if you close your eyes - you just might find many fascinating things...

I went there once, didn't like it. Too much empty space, and too echoey http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif I think it's a dead link.

I have been there. I found that there are too many broken links, the site design was lousy (after all you can't get to half the site w/o special permission) there are too many background midi's going at once to be able to think clearly.

I think it is a clear 2 thumbs down over here.

http://www.djweb.org has a nice ring http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
BTW, talking about domains here's a story. I own www.dmcity.com One morning I receive a mail from some guy who appeared to be quite high up on the Des Moines board of commerce. He asks me if I would be interested in selling dmcity.com. Hmmm, I wonder how bad he wants it so for a joke, or so I thought at the time, I say it's his for $100,000. Thinking he would laugh at me can you imagine my reaction when he said he would get back to me ! I was checking my email every 30 mins for the next 3 days, I'd even decided on the color scheme for my beachfront house in FL http://www.aota.net/ubb/biggrin.gif
He did get back and although they were interested they weren't prepared to go that high http://www.aota.net/ubb/frown.gif I never bothered asking what he would have offered; after all, what can you buy in FL for less than 100k http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif

Dean.
ps. he got dmcity.net instead.

Dean,

Current plans are for splitangels.com (for my wife's site, so people can get to it still when others give the wrong url *s*. Same reason we bought djweb.com the second it became available again), then probably downinit.net (just for the heck of it). Still pondering over webstroker.com, named after the bulldog we had (well, he was just Stroker, but it's gotta be tweaked for 'net usage), but I'll probably never bother with it.

I just did a whois on djweb.org, and it's still available... hhmmmmm... Might ought to get it http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif (although Julie would beat me if I did)

Originally I wanted djweb.com (about a year ago), but it wasn't available. Whoever had it didn't take care of it tho, as every time I tried to view it I got a "You dont have permission to view / on this server". Then I got a "No DNS Entry" error. Then Internic showed it as being "on hold" to someone else, and then registered to that someone else... Finally, about 6-7 days ago I did another whois on it, and it was a 'no match'! So I registered it quickly. It was spooky though, (looking at whois on djweb.com) the record was made on Jan 28, and it's already totally up and running (DNS and everything). I just had Andrew map it across djweb.net, but it was up in less than a week! (don't hate me, please?)

Okay, enough rambling now. Bye

I never bothered asking what he would have offered;

Though Andrew and I both are not to happy about domain prospecting (buying just to sell) I think I would have quickly purchased dmcity.net and .org http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

Deb, that offer occured in my very early net days not long after I'd got dmcity.com I wasn't even aware at the time I could have prevented other people using the net org .. Wish I had done it though http://www.aota.net/ubb/frown.gif
Now all I want is for Internic to reply to my fax. I want my domain back ! Jeez, what a bunch of @#*! holes. Grrrr....

Dean.
