Hi everyone!

Hope you're all doing well :).

I have a few questions...I've done web design but have not yet handled doing both web design ---> putting the site on a server (FQ, of course!).

What is the best way to handle this one-time web job?[nbsp][nbsp]When filling out the domain name, do I have the customer pre-pay for this so I can put down their address and let them worry about renewing?

And what about for server information?[nbsp][nbsp]When I open an account with FQ, should I give the customer's name & information...or should I use my own name, email (since I will be the one doing all the setting up)?[nbsp][nbsp]And then sign up for however long the customer wants...then I'd imagine when it's time to renew with FQ, I will receive the bill and then I'd bill the customer - is this correct?[nbsp][nbsp]

Another thing - they need an order form & shopping cart. I can do the order form, but I've never done a shopping cart.[nbsp][nbsp]I know of ccnow...are there charges for this service?[nbsp][nbsp]And again, who's information should I provide to them?[nbsp][nbsp]Since the customer would need to access their information concerning sales, I would imagine they would need to know the password, etc.[nbsp][nbsp]Do I tell the customer that I will be setting up a ccnow account (unless they already have a merchant account??)

Also curious - Do you ask for total web design $$ up front??

And...is it not advisable to use "free" graphic sets or must you charge to create your own? I've never done this, but I thought it may be a good way to lower a price.

How do you handle refunds?[nbsp][nbsp]Say you receive 50% in order to begin the work, then someone stops the job?[nbsp][nbsp]What if you've completed the site, and they don't want to give you final payment??

Thanx for your advice - much appreciated! (I'm sorry for all the questions!)

Best always,

Joi~
