Or not so stupid.
This is -NOT- on an FQ server.[nbsp][nbsp]It's on a dedicated box I'm using for a few projects which would cause Terra to decapitate me if I attempted to run here.[nbsp][nbsp]:)
The server is running Red Hat 6, nothing changed from the default configuration b'sides a newer Apache, PHP, MySQL, and all the other goodies we've been needing.
One of those goodies has been a different FTP daemon.[nbsp][nbsp]It installed and worked fine.[nbsp][nbsp]So, I go to shut it down to move it to port 21 instead of 2100 (for testing), and find the ftpshut command.
Well, it did the job all right.[nbsp][nbsp]
It did it so well that now NEITHER FTP daemon is accepting connections.[nbsp][nbsp]Both (on 21 and 2100) now reply with a 500 error and text saying that FTP services are down.[nbsp][nbsp]And nothing I can do is allowing them to start accepting connections again, including a reboot, mucking around in the conf files, and calling both daemons from the comand line numerous times.[nbsp][nbsp]
Help![nbsp][nbsp]:)
