Hi
I was searching the Cgi scripts and I came across a search script called Go2 search.
It looked very good but the outcome of each search is a file with .pl extension! this means that CGI resources are being used
every time someone searches. Does this cause a major problem? how many people can visit before FQ kick me out? :)

Any information is appreciated.
I am a little confused!

Dear Deb
Here is the link
http://www.go2cgi.com/go2search/
I am not sure If I should buy it. I am afraid it puts
too much load on the server.

Can you take a look and let me know.
regards

The search is calling a cgi script (as most do...) - there is no other way to produce dynamic content such as search results - the script produces results based on what the user enters in the search box.

All search scripts that I know of work in basically the same manner. However, what I would worry about is not the results page, but the spidering - this thing spiders the web... that can be *very* resource intensive if not done correctly...
