Hi again,

today I write some experience I had driving a short distance of just a half mile. Well... the problems started with not knowing that "Charleys Steakhouse" was just half a mile away.

So we (I wasn't alone) drove a long long way to the north-east on the next best larger highway. In the afternoon, I looked into a map to find a "small city" and I was sure to remember the way correctly.

Later, we drove a long long way back to the south and nobody noticed that the distance to the south was more or less equally long than the distance to the north we drove earlier :)

After arriving in the "small city", it should be no problem to find something large as "Parkway Boulevard", but not that day. Maybe the signs "Historic Downtown" already showed that the city was not as small as we believed. As nobody else knew this street, we finally decided to buy a map and to learn where the hell this "Parkway Boulevard" really is.

Ok... it was a good way in western direction. No real problem yet as were were just 15 minutes late and the distances looked very short.

Well after hassling through US traffic jams, we were finally around 45 minutes late, when the target came near. BUT the traffic jams got even harder. It seemed that some accident made one street nearly unpassable.

While getting nearer and nearer we passed back our starting point and that was the point where we finally recognized that our way of drinving was not really the fastest way :(

Fortunately when arriving around 1 hour late, the nice people expecting us were still there :) :) :)

My apology to them again.

Greetings from someone still feeling sooooooo stupid

ROFL!!!![nbsp][nbsp]For those wondering what the heck Meikel is talking about..... While he was here in the US, Justin, TeRRa, myself, and the kidlets agreed to meet Meikel and his friend at a steakhouse.

Well he was LATE LATE LATE! And the Steak House was only 15 minutes from his hotel!

We forgive him though since dinner was great and the company even better ;)

Glad to see you made it home all in one piece --- the pilot must have had a map :)

It was a true joy to be able to chit chat with him folks... (as well as sharing trade secrets about that lil gem of a progrem he offers on his web site. I wonder if it helps save gas and driving time as well? Maybe in the next version! *g*)
