MySQL was upgraded last night to the heavy duty i686 version 3.22.12...
This has been successfully stress tested out, using it's suite of 'crashme' scripts... Trust me - these test literaly hammer the server hard!
The other half of this upgrade is not going so well though... http://www.aota.net/ubb/frown.gif
The Perl DBD::DBI Mysql-modules-1.2010 are building/compiling correctly, but are failing the 'make test' part...
t/akmisc.t - 1 failure
t/dbadmin.t - 9 failures
t/mysql.t - 1 failure
Failed 3/17 test scripts, 82.35% okay. 11/708 subtests failed, 98.45% okay...
I will not release this for production until I get 100% success on the tests... I have spent the last 3 days working on this project... I have reduced the 8/17 test failure rate down to 3/17...
If you do not require the Perl modules to use MySQL, then contact me for a MySQL account setup (Platinum package or better)...

Are there any other way to go than Perl DBI/DBD? :-)
when it comes to webdeveloping, perl is the best way to go if your into Databases ;-)
Ok, keep on the good work and inform all then the myssql work as it should!

I might be able to get the Python modules installed for MySQL if you would want to use that as an alternative...
Another alternative is to write C/C++ code using the available MySQL libraries...
The DBD::DBI modules have *always* been a pain to get 100% passing... It would figure that the fixes I did previously would not work with this release... http://www.aota.net/ubb/frown.gif
So I now have a whole new batch of patches/fixes to make...
The upgrade to the P-II optimized version (much needed) forced an upgrade to the Perl modules as well, else I would have used the existing modules that I had built 2 months ago...
