From the dept: "While you were sleeping"
I have just finished testing the new PHP 4.0.4pl1 release and it is ready for deployment...[nbsp][nbsp]The updated ZendOptimizer is now ready to roll as well...
The upgrade will propagate to the following servers:
PHOENIX, DEXTER, DEEDEE, RASMUS, QBERT, LOLA
The total downtime to shift the new core in should be 5 minutes or less...
Overall, it is based on the same core configuration that PHP 4.0.3pl1 had...[nbsp][nbsp]However, it has some security enhancements that finally close down the '.htaccess' holes that allowed site owners to override 'admin' values they were not allowed to...[nbsp][nbsp]With my latest PHP 4.0.4pl1 patch set, these .htaccess values will be silently ignored instead of breaking the delivery of your domain with 500 errors...[nbsp][nbsp]I have also made adjustments that should be more friendly to 'sessions' and also 'file uploads'...
For the change list, please view:
http://www.zend.com/zend/change.php
For the actual module info, visit your CNC and go into Server_Info...[nbsp][nbsp]You will see the link the '(Click here for module info)' link...
The Apache SSL servers and PHP CGI binary will be upgraded within the next 24 hours...[nbsp][nbsp]It will require a lot of structural cleanup, as well as updating the actual core mod_ssl itself...
Let the games begin...[nbsp][nbsp]:)
