General Notice: This will affect all registries that require the NSI Database (.com, .net, .org, .edu...)
We have been informed that the NSI Registry will go offline for upgrades on Saturday, June 10, 2000, for an extended period of time.[nbsp][nbsp]At this point, the Registry estimates a downtime of 8 to 12 hours, beginning at 22:00 GMT.[nbsp][nbsp]All registrars will be equally affected by this service interruption.
As you are aware, FutureQuest.Register.com's registration systems communicate directly with the Shared Registration System in order to process domain name availability checks, registrations, and name server modifications. Therefore, during this extended downtime, those functions will not be in service.
All registration requests will be queued up for later processing while the Shared Registration System is not available.[nbsp][nbsp]Customers who attempt registrations or changes during this scheduled outage will see a notice after Step 6 that their registrations will be processed once the registry service is restored. Once Network Solutions' services come back online, we will immediately begin to process registration requests.[nbsp][nbsp]
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
