Late tonight (4/10/00), there will be internal upgrades taking place across all servers...[nbsp][nbsp]Work will commence around 1:00am EST and last until the work is completed...

Part of the upgrades will require that each server go through a quick reboot ( < 8 min ) in order to bring modified Linux kernels online...

It is part of our VisionQuest project that will bring forth more powerful monitoring tools in an effort to track down the random Linux problems that have plagued us for so long...

Though I cannot comment/disclose further details, this is an ongoing effort to improve our quality of service to the site owners that have chosen FutureQuest to deliver their online persona...

I have run out of time on the upgrades and will finish up the last server (ASTRO) tomorrow night...
All in all, everything went smoothly - just very time consuming with the final cutover (single_user/reconfig/reboot) being the last item to accomplish...

My apologies if the early morning finishing work on SEVEN snagged a few East Coasters trying to check their email/web sites before 8:00am...

Everything was fine, thanks for the updates.[nbsp][nbsp]Fortunatly for me, transferring all my files to my new domain from my current IRM went smoothly, and had me up until pretty late anyway.[nbsp][nbsp]I was worried that you would be working on SEVEN as I was FTP'ing all my files, but it all went without a hitch.

As a FQ Site Owner, I am extremely happy to see that you are continually striving to improve your already impeccible (sp?) service, and I appreciate all of your hard work.[nbsp][nbsp]I hope that this only makes the long relationship I plan on having with FutureQuest even better.

Thanks Again!

Jim

I have just completed the upgrade work on ASTRO and everything went smooth as silk...
The nagging BMC (Intel Firmware) problem has been finally fixed via BIOS/BMC updates that address this quirky situation...

Thank you for your patience as we strive to improve our overall level of service...
