FQuest Notice: ALL Servers - X10 Power control upgrades

Tonight around 1:00am (4/4/00), I will be taking all servers offline (one-by-one) for about 10 minutes each...[nbsp][nbsp]This will be to wire in the new X10 power control equipment into the motherboards...

This should be a relatively painless task and the only reason for powering down is to avoid any type of shorting possibility...

Our apologies for the short lead time, but we consider this significant in greater control allowing for faster resets of the servers if needed...

So you are using X10 equipment to effectively "punch" the reset button? (using powersupply "power OK" line would be my bet) Hmm. I had to remove them from my house. The lights would randomly turn on and off. :)

Nah, I've got quite a bit more investment into the system to allow that to happen (though anything is possible and time will tell)... ;)

The X10 is conditioned and filtered while disallowing RF interference...

X10 is being folded into the Guardian project which will be the master controller for full automation...

The entire system was created to reduce our overall response time for when things go wrong and to also provide OOB low-level capability between the servers...

Thought I won't go into the specifics, I can say that the equipment being used is top-of-the-line and industrial control strength...[nbsp][nbsp]:)
