There have been rumors floating around that we would be hiring more help to enhance our services.[nbsp][nbsp]These rumors are true!! :)[nbsp][nbsp]As Justin noted in other threads, it is our goal to never lose touch with the community as a whole and most of us are aware of the problems that can arise when a company grows larger than those who are running it.[nbsp][nbsp]As a result we have been, and will continue to seek qualified help in *many* areas.

For starters I would like to officially re-introduce Justin Nelson, a favorite of everyone's *g* as the new Manager/Team Leader of the Technical Support Team.

Doing a simple search for "Justin" on these forums will show a colorful history of his tenure to date.[nbsp][nbsp]From registering his first domain name to building complex applications with Perl, C, C++, Javascript, MySQL, PHP, and of course his old time favorite Visual Basic.[nbsp][nbsp]He is living proof of the value this type of community can have when learning the "tricks of the trade"![nbsp][nbsp]One of the most popular creations of Justin's is found within every site owner's CNC.[nbsp][nbsp]As we all know, he was the lead developer of that application.[nbsp][nbsp]

In addition to his development skills, Justin has been an enormous help to many of us within the Forums, writing tutorials on Aota.net, as well as responding to the majority of Sales@ and Support@ emails that arrive on our virtual doorstep every day.[nbsp][nbsp]As if that wasn't enough, Justin also maintains the HostFacts.com and VDJ.net web sites and is the author of Virtual DJ Studio a popular MP3 player written in VB.[nbsp][nbsp]The only thing Justin doesn't know is what a day off is!

He has proven himself as an extremely dedicated asset to all of FutureQuest over the past year with an amazing ability to learn quickly![nbsp][nbsp]

Justin, thank you for all you do!

As noted above, the rumors about FutureQuest, Inc. hiring more help are true and Justin will now be building and managing the FutureQuest Technical Support Department.[nbsp][nbsp]I guess this means he just got promoted folks, so congratulate him already!

Justin,

Let me add my congrats to the list as well.[nbsp][nbsp]Although, now that I think about it...[nbsp][nbsp]this takes you another step down "management road" towards a life of filling out forms, writing documents, and drawing up schedules. :)[nbsp][nbsp]Do you realize what you've gotten yourself into!

ROFL!!! I am finding out more and more about this management thing... I'm still debating whether or not I should chop my hair though... Might look more "respectable"... Opinions? Would you take orders from a long haired goofy looking guy in black jeans and a Metallica shirt (complete with coffee stains)? :P

Holy cow, what kind of coffee are you drinking that stains Metallica shirts?? (And where can I get some, LOL) (Thinking that every M. tee I've seen is black to start with.)[nbsp][nbsp]I vote no on the haircut, BTW . . . you'll be a good manager via people skills, not length of dead keratin growing from your scalp :D!![nbsp][nbsp]If you grew it 'cause it's "you" - leave it.[nbsp][nbsp]Uh, unless Deb or Terra say otherwise :þ!!

Add my own congrats too . . . .

Promotion to management - every pure techie's worst nightmare.[nbsp][nbsp]!Bingo! Uh, unless Deb or Terra say otherwise I only requested he lose the baseball cap, and he did :)[nbsp][nbsp]His brain has so much more room to expand now!

[nbsp]-
And the sign said long-haired freaky people need not apply

So, I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why

He said "You look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you'll do"

So I took off my hat and said, "Imagine that, huh me working for you"

Justin, "do this, don't do that, can't you read the signs"?

You'll be wearing a suit with a boutinierre(sp?) before too long.

NO! Don't go for the "respectable" look, Justin. In my experience, the GQ look is a cover for lack of know how. If you want answers to tech questions you have to talk to the freaky guy they keep chained in the backroom out of the public's view. I guarantee if you get a haircut you won't be able to write a "Hello World" program (must be some kind of Sampson and Delila thing).
