View Full Version : MySQL server down?
The MySQL server is down I think.
The PHP script tells me:
Can't connect to local MySQL server (111)
It's down for 30 minutes at least, as a cron script complained about it 30 minutes ago:
/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysqldump: Got error: 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (111)
It's up again. Maybe just overloaded?
Or does it read the Server forum :)
I think it thought it would get away with taking a break.. but then you had to be a taddle tail about it soo.....
It didn't servive the reboot .. Terra got it back up now though...
It seems the SQL server is down again... :( :(

It appears to have rebooted, and I guess it didn't survive it again (uptime == 5:28 right now)... I'm having the same problem on SIX. I'm contacting Terra now...

Finally, the MySQL server has given me a halfway decent lead as to why it's not always restarting properly...
There is a file it requires that it cannot find when it boots up...[nbsp][nbsp]I believe this may have been an introduced error when I upgraded it the last time as I've never experienced this problem prior to 3.22.16...
I will be digging deeper into this problem, and I may have a possible work-around until it's fixed in MySQL itself...
