View Full Version : FQuest Alert: Apache Stability
Terra

Around 12:00p EST today, we were experiencing some stability problems with the Apache daemons... It was found to be caused by a high-resource search script...
This script has been disabled, and everything appears to be leveling out...
Our apologies for these fluctuations...

I am stunned by how many new account requests we are receiving each day... I feel we are at capacity again and believe it would be in our best interest to not accept new accounts until this current set of upgrades are completed.
I have adjusted the order form and web site to show as such.

Hi again,
Deb:
What is the Ticker Symbol for FutureQuest? The quote must be skyrocketing http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
Terra:
Ever tried hypnosis on the server. It worked on these forums. Maybe this helps http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

Heh thanks Paul....
Terra and I keep thinking about the Duncan YoYo company (interesting story for anyone who has the chance to read it). They were so successful it drove them out-of-business because they couldn't meet demand....We certainly don't want to stop receiving orders --eeeaaakksss-- we just need to make sure we balance the new accounts enough to assure our equipment keeps up with them http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif I'm extremely anxious (aren't we all) to get these upgrades done -- and more anxious to finally meet up with that OC-12 NOC!
Hearts -- The Reseller's Order form is still opened... (you really should check out the reseller's forums). You can order for your client.

i don't have time to check another forum http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
i have a question while i am here, and maybe if someone else is having the same kind of troubles, it will answer it for them to.
For the last two days, i have been having the hardest time uploading to future quest. I keep getting a blocking called cancelled .. sigh. It makes it hard to upload and rather untrustworthy to work via the server live. I know I should edit locally, but i have this habit. http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
I don't have any probs with my other two severs, just this one. So, thought i should ask ya'll.
Also, so i don't have to get distracted in emails.. i want to know, does running a card program from your server space take up more room? if so.. add 20 megs to my account and bill me for the yearly way.. k? I guess prorate it so it ends up ending when my contract does.. so it all ends and renews at the same time.
thanks
hearts
I already responded to you about some possible reasons you may be getting the blocking error.... I also know there are some upgrades happening right now that may also help this area a bit.... Have you tried passive mode yet?
As far as your account information -- that is really not appropriate for the forums and you will need to email requests for upgrades etc to Sales@FutureQuest.net what you want can be accomplished but does need email to do so http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif

ok... taking the day off from things.. (well,,atleast until 2pm http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif )
i copied and pasted and emailed .. did not mean to be inappropriate. However, I did call yesterday, and left a message, and remembered to leave my name. *first time for everything* I have a bad habit of doing that.
anyways.. sorry to offend anyone, but ya always say, forums are quicker http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
Don't be upset with me.. k?

Would you believe that in MCI WorldCom's infinite wisdom accidently cutoff our long distance calling capability... We even tried to bypass it with 10-10-321... No go... Even though it was their error, we have to wait up to 72 hours to get long distance service back... Grrrrrrrrrr!
