The server has been running non-stop for 12 days 29 minutes...
I am extremely impressed with our new equipment and have thoroughly stressed this server - looking for any weaknesses...
Thus far, it has performed *beyond* my expectations - during primetime '9:30am - 4:00pm' then '8:30pm - 12:30am', the server averages between .45 to 1.25 load... Which for all the CGI that is run on this server, is remarkable...
I am now a happy camper, once again - providing rock-solid performace dishing out unparalleled PowerTool capability...
In February, this server will be upgraded to dual PII-450's with 500mb pc_100 SDRAM ECC, for the upcoming PHP3/MySQL integration - and also to handle all the resource/cpu intensive encryption via our Apache/mod_SSL secure server...
Next server is planned for May/June 1999 and will be sporting dual AMD-K7 800Mhz with 1 gig pc_200 SDRAM ECC memory...
This server is going to scorch our network lines... Can you tell I'm starting to really feel the need for speed... http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
I would like to express my deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all our members that took a chance, and believed in our capabilites to push the envelope and build this dream called FutureQuest... You all have brought out the best within Deb and myself... http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
