Hello everyone... Tonight our 'TAZ' server overloaded and went down for approximately 20 minutes... Which forced a system reboot...
FutureQuest.net has had *explosive* growth this month, due to the many kind words of everyone within the FQuest realm... Unfortunately the growth has exceeded the capacity of the current 'TAZ' server... The capacity exceeds only during our _peak_ hours of operation, (9:30am - 11:30am) and (9:00pm - 11:30pm) EST... During these times we keep a very watchful eye on the server operations, and respond quickly to any situations that may arise... 95% of all this is handle transparently, unfortunately tonights reboot fell into the remaining 5%... http://www.aota.net/ubb//redface.gif
We have a new server on it's way, and the final component (which was backordered) was confirmed shipped from California yesterday...
The new server will provide us with more scalable growth as it will be capable of dual PII-450's and 1 GIG of Fast pc_100 SDRAM ECC memory...
I hope that you all will bear with us through this growth, as we adjust our operations to accomodate the needs of the many...
