OK, I've released a seriously updated version of my Gypsy Mail script.
http://www.thinkspot.net/sheila/computers/software/gypsymail.html
Quite a number of new features. Now, in addition to handling required fields, it also will match two fields (like when you want a submitter to verify that their e-mail address is correct, so you have them enter it twice, to guard against typos). And you can also restrict submitter input to a limited list of values.
The docs are here:

It is easy to install. It requires Python, but that is already installed on all FQ servers. The few edits that you need to make to the config file to get it up and running on FQ should be minimal.
If anyone does try it out, I'd appreciate comments and feedback.
Thanks.
Sheila
