Heh, actually Guido vanRossum himself, posted the following last night in comp.lang.python:

http://www.mailgate.org/comp/comp.lang.python/msg43517.html

I loved (not) the part about Python adding curly braces in a future release, since "we have finally decided to bite the bullet and accept that until this happens, Python will never be popular."

I didn't notice, at the time I read it last night, that it was already April 1st in some parts of the world. Nor did I view the full message headers and notice this one:

X-Apology: To the wonderful people at ActiveState and DC...gotcha! ;-)

I discovered that my pet parrot, NIkki, is able to program in this new language
quite natually, except that she keeps repeating the same code over and over and
over...

Daniel Klein :-)

Maybe Echo has a friend in programming?

What the heck are you doing with that bird???

Obviously they have a harness attached to it, and when it flies around, the bird ends up going in circles, generating power from the small dynamo attached to the harness.

These sorts of birds do this when the lights go off, so in reality, it's part of a UPS: Uninterruptible Parrot Supply.

- Yes, I know it was a long way to go for a bad pun, but I'm still proud. :)

LOL @Paul.

Yes, that is what it looks like to me, too.

No use denying it, Deb. We're on to you.

ROFL! You do not even want to get me started.[nbsp][nbsp]I'm absolutely enjoying "that bird" :P

This would be how he looks after a blackout.[nbsp][nbsp]I mean with 25 servers to support it gets rough!
