[FQuest Alert] ESCHER Server Maintenance

Who: All FutureQuest accounts on the ESCHER server
Duration: 10-30 minutes

Due to the power supply failure discovered in http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25538 we were forced to move the ESCHER server hard drives into our standby spare chassis known as MASH.

The ESCHER server hardware has been repaired and the hard drives need to be moved back into the correct chassis. This work will be close to a simple drive swap however the two chassis use different hard drive sleds so there will be a couple minutes of extra time to swap sleds.

I will begin moving the hard drives back to the ESCHER server shortly. I do not anticipate any surprises and the downtime should be minimal.

I've finished the drive swap. The ESCHER server is back in action and away from MASH. The approximate downtime was 10 minutes. :smile:
