View Full Version : Extensions..
I guess I have been sleeping but what is the
".cfm" extension I have been seeing on webpages today?
And (in general terms ANDREW!) why is it used?
CFM is Cold Fusion, very similar in theory to ASP and PHP :-)
<edit>
Oh yeah, I believe it only works on NT, but I'm probably wrong about that too

"Works" is such a strong word!!

There's a Solaris version out. I haven't used it, but hobnobbed with some folks who did. According to them, Allaire took the NT version and ported it on top of the NT extensions for Solaris -- which would be like, I don't know, porting yourself to a Maserati, but replacing the engine with a Yugo's first. :p They promised to rewrite it completely in the next version, which I believe is version 4, which is out now and has been for a while.
But who needs it if you have PHP and embedded perl. http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
