Hi,

I'm sorry to ask this, but I am hoping someone has a moment to help me figure out why I can't get my custom filters to work, please.

I had set up a custom filter to test for a list of things that could be in the subject line and put it in a file, per the help page (http://service.futurequest.net/index.php?_a=knowledgebase&_j=questiondetails&_i=97).

This had worked for me for a long while, but somewhere along the line I made an update to the file, copied it over the old one, and it hasn't worked since. Searching through other threads, I have confirmed that there are no blank lines in the file, even at the end.

What am I missing?

As an additional but related question, will this work if there are two words on a line (separated by a space), or can there only be one word per line with no spaces?

I really appreciate any help, in advance.

Russ

It's possible that something in the file is messing up the filter.

Or you may have put the new file in the wrong place or maybe the keyword file isn't readable by the mail filter. Make sure the file permissions are rw-r--r--

If that doesn't help, I'd try a file with one word and send a message with that word in the subject.

If you put more than one word on a line, the filter will search for that exact phrase, not if those words appear anywhere in the subject.

If it still doesn't work, you could post the filter recipe and keyword file and maybe someone will spot a problem.
