Hi I have fedora installed on a local computer, the Processor broke and the computer won't load up anymore.
How can I save the data inside the computer?
by changing the motherboard with a new processor will the computer start?

thanks tony

If you replace the motherboard and associated hardware with something that is remotely compatible it should just work. If you change video cards you may have to reconfigure X but it should do that somewhat automatically.

Even if it doesn't just work you could boot from the CD and access the hard drive.

This isn't Windows so it will be surprisingly easy.
