Why does a browser send a referer URL for a page that didn't actually refer the user? In other words, if I'm at aota.net and I manually type in vdj.net it will come up that aota.net refered me. Also, if my home page is set to vdj.net and I open the browser and click a bookmark, vdj.net magically refered me.

I like to check all of my referer URL's for the heck of it, see who's linking, but a lot of times it's just someone's start page who visits vdj.net a lot. Know what I mean? Ok, so it's a dumb question, and I know there's no way around it because it's the browser's fault, but I just want to know why http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
