Hello,

I have a big problem every time I try to send an email to a Yahoo Mail account, because Yahoo Mail targets all my mails as spam and sends them directly to the trash folder. I don't know why, since my mails are perfectly legitimate and there is nothing in the text that could arouse suspicious. I don't use HTML, just plain text (I get the same result if I include a link in the email, or if I don't). I have this problem only with Yahoo, and I have absolutely no problems with Gmail, Hotmail, etc. It's very frustrating, since a lot of people here in Catalonia use Yahoo Mail.

I have been searching in Yahoo site for some help, but I have got lost and confused trying to get some relevant information.

Is anybody familiar with this problem? Anybody knows some way to solve it?

Thanks a lot!

Jeff

Are you asking specifically about outgoing mail from a futurequest account, or mail sent from other sources/local isp/etc?

I'd send a few to your own yahoo mail account and then contact yahoo support from your yahoo account and ask why they are being marked as spam.

Hello Jeff, thanks for your suggestion. Yes, I have this problem with mail sent from my FutureQuest account to most of Yahoo Mail accounts.

I'm seeing this too - except they're being completely blocked and bounced back to FutureQuest.

I can send email to yahoo, but nearly always I get a message that there will be a delay -- usually from 2 to 48 hours. So far, all of it has eventually gone through, though people wonder why I take so long to respond to them!

Do you have DomainKeys enabled for your account? This might help.

Spam filtering has become a very complex process. Common sense (such as cited in your original message) is not necessarily a good guide any more.
