HELP.. please
i already have a .htaccess file to tend to one thing that i need in a certain directory. Now I want to have another one. Is there a way to combine these two needs in one file?
Of course! http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif Since I don't know what exactly you're up to, I can't really be of much help on how to do it, but it's more than likely that it's possible. Check out http://www.apache.org/docs/mod/directives.html for the 'tip of the iceberg' of what .htaccess can do, and what it can't do.
Also, if you need the new features in a different directory than the one your existing .htaccess lives in, it's completely possible to have more than one .htaccess (I use like 6 or 8 of em I think). Just set the second one up in it's own dir, and have it do just what that particular dir needs done, it'll override the base .htaccess (although if you can do it all in one file, it's supposed to be a hair less of a load on the server)

The Marlboro Man ran off with Virginia Slims. <giggle> .. btw.. saw your other posts Terra, thanks, and way to go. Ya reckon I would get into too much trouble telling ya to take the day off, spending it with your wife and kids? (tell 'em it is for personal reasons - but don't tell 'em it is for sleep, as sleep is not part of our vocabulary) http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
