Smarter Autoresponder

Is it possible to have a Perl or C program automatically read incoming mail (and respond to it) that is sent to a specific mail address within my domain?

What you are seeking is 'qmail-command' methods...

At the SSH/Telnet prompt, just type:
$man qmail-command

Read it carefully, as it is very potent capability...
