What a busy boy am I.
While you lot on the left side of the pond have been sleeping I have been busy installing UBB free guestbook. See it, feel it amd sign it @ http://www.loobie.com/cgi-bin/ugb.cgi
And guess what. It works. Just a few bugs. You'll notice that the field labels are missing. Why? I don't know perhaps you can tell me. Also the yes and no graphics are rendering themselves in a peculiar way. Again, I can't figure out why.
But all in all it's not too bad.

goooooooooood morning busy one! http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
they ain't missing.. *really* You made your text white.. so they are invisible against your white table. http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
you will need to select a different color text .. or go into the code and make a few changes to your cgi code itself.

well.. to be honest.. you would still make progress, as there are others here that would do anything for another FQ member. I just logged on before having my coffee, and posted before someone else! http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif

Just signed in ... still can hardly see your text...looks like it's a little darker white ...might want a different color all together. Hearts is great at color choices..might want to ask her if you need to.
I like the book...great job... http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

Way to go Graham! I was reading in another post of yours, about getting into the CGI waters! You have me beat... I'm still standing back on the beach!
Though, like you, I tried Deb's suggestion, and installed the FQ guestbook. Hoo-hoo... it worked! All credit goes to Deb's fab easy instructions. My sites not complete yet, so I'll keep the link hush hush for now.
Great job on your new UBB guestbook! I feel your joy!
Hearts, I don't post here often, but I do like the help you give as well, and I thank you! :-)
Aloha from 2 ponds away...
Monica :-)

Dear Monica,
Everyone has been so helpful here, especially hearts.
Are you sure that you won't even give us a little peek of your site. If we ask ever so nicely?

Hi Graham!
Sorry for the intrigue about my site... but there's nothing there! Just stuff I've been piddling with at the moment. One day. Though... I'd let you peak at my cheezy family homepage for a warm tasty scone...

Hi Monica! http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif Thanks.. but I come here cuz I procrastinate.. *alot* ... and I am learning as much as I am helping.. so helping out when I can, helps me learn a little more! http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
And Graham, like I said before, there are many here that don't mind lending a hand. It is all part of the fun of belonging to a community! *really*
well... I got oreo's.. anyone got milk? *hehehe*

hey I'm on the left side of the pond and haven't been asleep... who sleeps anyway? Highly overrated if you ask me! http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
Wow that orange background is ummm...kind of bright, but it could be me from staring at this screen so long. Personally I preferred the black background like on CV splash/entry page.
But I did sign it the guestbook!

Hello Graham....
Just thought I would let you know.. your forum is up and running.. Your selective info is now in email. http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
Now, you have your work set out for you.. do not adjust the variables, as they are set.
However, you will need to set up your forum with whatever color codes, title your forum threads and such.
any further questions, I am an email away. http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif .. oops.. almost forgot to tell you: Please be sure to back up your files. Make sure you do this in ASCII mode, as your files have been adjusted from their original state.
actually gonna end this with a signature! http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif

Dear Hearts,
What can I say? Many, many thanks. I haven't discovered how to set the colour variables yet but I will.
OK, I am going to give you a rest now, let you gather your energy.
