Alex over at Gossamer Threads has released links version 2. Free to non-profit users, this can turn your site into a "mini-Y*hoo". But like Alex says, it should NOT be the first script you've ever installed! It's a little more complex than your standard form handler or guestbook but well worth the installation time.

Honestly, I'm not sure if the final release is available directly off his website right now-he's in the process of changing servers.

This script is a real gem!!!!

For any NFPs in need of a links script (and have the ability to install cgi) it's very worth it! For those of us who have to pay -- Yep it's VERY WORTH the cost if a links script is needed.

It's one of the best on the net imho.

Yum! This is a great script. This and the UBB are my favorite scripts.

I can't believe how well done these scripts are, at least Links, considering they're open source (not C/C++) and the authors must have other things to do.

So, I recommend this, and I will help install it if anyone needs help. http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

Indeed, this is an awesome script. I'm using it to build my site. (Which is hosted on FQ, of course. http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif )

We are using it on our other site, but it's a bit messed up at the moment due to web host problems. (We should have hosted it with FQ.)

I wonder what features can be found in V2.0...

Finally!!! I have been searching, seemingly, for-ever...for a links script that looked nice and not like a FFA site for my Non-profit site "Celebrate Life".

My only problem is ... I'm still new at this CGI thang... is there anyone out there willing to help po' little ol' me set something like this up? http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
