This poll should help people get an idea of what works at FQ and perhaps which ones are most popular.

Maybe a little bump will get others to respond as well. I'm sure there are apps other than osC & ZC installed at FQ...
Anyone using Interspire? We'll be installing it later this month and I'd be interested to hear about your experience with it at FQ.
Interesting to see the dominance of OSC/Zen at this point...

That is because typically web designers want everything for free and like to make big profits.

It will work fine, I have used it on a CPanel server, there is nothing at FQ that will cause problems or isn't available.

I have an older version (4.0 series) of X-Cart running here. Though that version will not work with MySQL5, so I may need to upgrade in the near future. Upgrading X-Cart is a nightmare.

I've installed Interspire's shopping cart, but not specifically at FQ. I'm sure it's a solid product, but I have no idea how it scales relative to a cart like osCommerce. I am very interested to hear your experience, as a developer, in terms of modifications, theming, etc.
That is because typically web designers want everything for free and like to make big profits. Until relatively recently, the only two commonly available off-the-shelf feature-rich E-commerce platforms were Miva (in the commercial source field) and osCommerce (in the open source field). In the PHP realm, you were limited to osCommerce and derivatives (of which I am certain a fair number of the commercial PHP solutions also originate). The number of extensions/ contributions available for osCommerce is pretty amazing and helps keep development costs down for clients. So sure, maybe some designers choose osC to maximize profits, but I bet at least as many choose it to save clients money.

We ended up signing up as a partner with Interspire, and have just done the first install at FQ for a client w/o a problem. The only issue is that the license is tied to the URL you're installing on, so if you're staging the software on a new account using an IP address, you will need to first request a license code for the URL w/IP, then re-request a switchover of the license to the permanent URL.
Hobbes, do you have any idea what happens if Interspire's licensing server goes offline? This is relevant if an outage occurs, Interspire stops supporting product, or ceases operations. -Matt

Don't know off-hand. One of the many things I hope to explore as I dig into it deeper. Source is included however...

Matt - I followed up with Interspire and here's the reply received:That would not be a problem. Once the license key is generated it is input into the control panel of the customers application, so nothing would be reliant on our servers.
Good to know, thanks for posting.

I use ClickCartPro for a couple and Joomla on another. I like ClickCartPro, but it does cost Money. They both work just fine on my sites thanks to Kitchin :)
