View Full Version : Old, unwanted error message at startup

I downloaded a bit of shareware a year or so ago for one-time use. I thought I'd deleted the entire thing, but at every re-boot I receive an error message reminding me to re-install it.

I'm running a Dell computer on Vista and am a bit rusty on how to get into the startup area. In any case, might this be a registry issue? If so, how would I go about removing this bit of TP from my shoe?

Thanks.

I think you are looking for msconfig??

I haven't done this in Vista (XP machine here) but is looks to be simular, see this page for the basics:

You just need to figure out which start up item is for the shareware message. Use at your own risk! :ythiya:

That did the trick. Thanks a lot.
