Hi there, have massive dilemna, have two days to finish this site and have just uploaded it and my images are blurry. really blurry. The main problems are the logos and side images. I created them in photoshop, saved them at 72 dpi and pasted them into my root folder. I didnt save for web as i was using 3 different computers, they seem to appear at the lowest resolution, even though in dreamweaver they are completely crisp images. Any ideas or advice would be hugely welcomed! I really need to know if there is an easy way of making everything less blurry. please help!!!!! much thanks, elle.

I'm on XP using Firefox 2.0.0.20, and they look fine to me. 22" widescreen monitor, set to 1680 by 1550.

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)
The other threads created on this topic have been closed. When posting, please just choose what you feel is the most appropriate forum area. Posting in one thread only allows site owners to focus on that one thread and keeps responses together. If in doubt about which area to post in, go ahead and select one and we can move if needed. :)

Every thing looks fine to me as well. If I understand correctly, the images you are talking about may be a bit blurry, but I can't say what your intent was. They read fine.
Try clearing your cache for your browser, maybe there was some issue with when the browser saw them last.
Also, are you using any type of internet speed boosting software or option from your ISP? These often resample the images to a lower quality to make them display faster.
Also, you can use browsershots.org to view the page in other browsers, to see if they look like what you are seeing.
Are you on a CRT monitor? Have you done any sort of calibration for you monitor? If the brightness is too high, it may cause the white in those logos to smear more than normal.

in edit: I did not read the original post carefully enough, sorry.
You don't have your browser set to zoom do you? If Firefox for example click zoom -> reset to be sure you're viewing at 100%.
I created them in photoshop, saved them at 72 dpi and pasted them into my root folder. For the web, a pixel is a pixel; it's not dpi or ppi like in print (unless you're using flash with a relative scale) but rather specifying an image as exactly 200 pixels across x 300 pixels high for example. This seems fine on your page to my eye.
Some of the closeup details I think could benefit from a tiny bit of unsharp mask in photoshop, but on the whole the images look nice and sharp here to me.

hi thanks for all your help, it seems it is just my internet or computer or something that is viewing them so blurry, still trying to get to the bottom of this, though think will change few a the italic glow images. Thanks for info on browser shots too, really great site. Thanks again for all wisdom! cheers, elle.
