Please, tell me what I'm doing wrong... this was just step one and I've got so many other scripts to set up! :-(

I get "Premature end of script headers (blah blah blah) and
Apache/1.3.3 Server at www.dreamers-world.com Port 80

I started from scratch (now I don't even like what is there)... but the -c filename.cgi thing worked and told me there are no errors at least. It is still giving me the same error message when I click on the link though <sigh>.

Admittedly I'm working with half a brain cell (flu) and need cgi for dummys and really really basic how to on unix. Not to mention a few extra brain cells! ;-D

The cgi basic stuff I've read is confusing me a little because I don't see the #user/bin on the script I d/l from FQuest.

I'm being good honestly - I've looked at the help things on bigbird.com and various other places. What now?

Thanks for your wonderful patience!

Ok, I just peaked inside your directories and found the problem.

You are trying to use the SUSOGI.net guestbook on a full virtual domain. You need to be using the full guestbook not the SUSOGI.net guestbook script.

You can download the full version at http://aota.net/Tools/ make sure you select the full virtual domain guestbook.

Delete the one you are trying to use right now as it will ONLY work on SUSOGI.net sub-domains...

That should do it http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

If you telnet in you can type

perl -c filename.cgi

And it will lead you in the right directions for what may be wrong.
