View Full Version : Banner Rotation Script
Hello,
Have any of you used any of the following banner rotation scripts, if so please share your experience with the scripts here. Deb or Terra as the server owner would you prefer users use one of these over the other?

I'll be watching this thread closely too.. I'm going to need some sort of solution that will handle different sized banners as well as text-only ads, AND (there's always an and) will handle targeting pages easily.
Of course, price and reliability are my big things http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif

I like it because it allows you to decide the html code for the banner when you set it up.. size width link border alt etc... but I do not think it's very "fair" on when it rotates what banner... it leaves much to be desired in the stats area....

The best out of the three urls you listed is this one. It has a great amount of flexibility, runs sweet, easy to install, etc... only bad point is all banners MUST BE the same size. Which is fine in most cases....
The other link you left is no good.. so I can't say either way.
None of them are server intensive.. but if I had to pick from the three of them I would choose Adman in a heart beat over the others.....
I think overall... you could find a script that does everything these do w/o the limitations if you look a bit more. In order for me to really offer you any good advise it would be helpful if you let me know which domain you are trying to install these on. If it needs to remain 'secret' please email me. I can not really offer valuable tech support if the domain is not on this server and/or without knowing which package you have....

I have not tried any of them... but I'll head over and install each of them and let you know my thoughts once I've had a chance to check them out......
