Bulletin Boards?

I'd like to add a message or bulletin board to my website, but I have never worked with cgi scripts, and am a bit nervous about the whole thing. Does anybody have any suggestions on a BBS for a not-terrribly-sophisticated developer?

Is FQ's bulletin board software available somewhere, BTW?

There are literally hundreds to choose from ... some are free and very easy to install.. some are down right expensive and a pain to install http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif

My best advice for starters... is to check out our "Server Questions and Suggestions" forum as, not to long ago, I was asking the community what forums they like etc.. there were quite a few suggestions and opinions in that area along with links to many of the forums.

For the forum we use -- the link is http://www.ultimatebb.com

A commonly used script that is easy to install can be found at http://www.cgi-resources.com search for "WWWboard"
