Why isn't there any Wikipedia entry for FutureQuest? If Rackspace (http://www.rackspace.com/) can have a Wikipedia article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rackspace) in the categories Companies established in 1998 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Companies_established_in_1998) and Companies based in San Antonio, Texas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Companies_based_in_San_Antonio%2C_Texas) then why not have someone enter this article.

Come to think of it then, why not an AndiFashion (http://www.andilinks.com/) article in Wikipedia, I should get busy...

The problem is, ordinary small minded users can just delete articles, so if FQ's hypothetical article disappears you can always delete the Rackspace article.

I think it's still officially advised not to create a Wikipedia article about your own product or self, or to link to your own website. It's not a rule so I linked to a couple of my webpages a few years ago and the links are still there. Deb said this (http://www.aota.net/forums/showthread.php?postid=146537#post146537).

I think it's still officially advised not to create a Wikipedia article about your own product or self...Right, let your ignorant and hostile competitors do it, because only they hate you enough to tell the real truth.

Wikipedia is not as corrupt as ODP, but it's getting there. Bureaucracies don't age well.

I think RackSpace probably provides excellent service to their customers, but their sales/marketing is a little too aggressive / spammy for my taste. I happened to post in a thread at another datacenter's forum where some were encountering some problems, and I got an unsolicited email from a RackSpace sales rep offering a refugee sale price. I think that's kind of low to go looking to steal competitor's customers whenever they hit a bump in the road. It's one thing to offer if the customer approaches them (that would be very kind of them) but to go trolling to pick up customers from a competitor when they're down on their luck, unsolicited, crosses a line for me.

I'd really would like to see a FQ article on there (such as some other hosts have). I usually check every now and then, just incase someone from here started one.
