Is there any chance FQ can consider MailFoundry which is far more effective than SA. I'm getting sick and tired of so much spam, it is now obvious SA is totally worthless and needs to be retired. MailFoundry has proven to be a much better solution IMHO.

I'll consider the lack of replies as a 'NO' then, at least I'll still be able to get my Viagra, Rolex watches and my trojan filled UPS invoices :confuz:

Pete, it doesn't matter what anti-spam measures are deployed - it is a continuing game of cat and mouse...

These types of units have come and gone over time as the next spammers trick up their sleeves pretty much deprecate the black box solutions...

I for one don't like black box solutions like this where we have no control over how we integrate it into our systems... At least with SpamAssassin we can tweak it to fit nicely into our high volume delivery routines which currently span over 16 processing servers...

Even though SpamAssassin is not perfect - nor do I believe any anti-spam solution is perfect, it is actively developed with feedback pouring into it every day by people who are just as outraged by spam as you are...

In a nutshell, there is just no good place to fit MailFoundry into our architecture as it is just that - a black box... We need to have the ability to control exactly where and how it fits into the delivery chain and that is something it doesn't afford us...

IMHO - the only solution to all this mess is for the spammers to stop spamming, and to LART the people that buy from spam that makes it financially viable for spammers to continue trying to get a single purchase from 10,000+ failed spam emails...

Hi Terra,

I think we will agree to disagree on the effectiveness of MailFoundry, I found it to be very effective indeed despite some false positives but you get to release them in your morning email list. Anyway I respect your decision and can appreciate the reasoning behind it. :)
