Script Just Created

Just made a Perl script that when you click on a link on one of my web pages a small window will open for my visitors to recommend my web site to others by typing in their name, e-mail and friends e-mail. Wanted to know if others have done this and if so, did this draw more traffic to your site?

I did something very similar to that for a realtor in july. The only difference being that she had a link on her page asking if someone would like to reccomend the page etc.

I dont remember all of the details as it has been quite some time and that page is no longer in existance(she changed companies and wanted a redesign), but I dont recall any great influx in traffic.

But those kind of sites are very target specific and very geographically oriented. In other words there are only so many prople in our town who are going to look at a site like that...
