Where are you doing a search on the domain? The search engines may have cached the old page. The fact that when I go to your domain right now I get the index.html page that you want means you have done everything correctly and it is working as expected.

Please provide more details on what it is exactly that you are seeing that is causing you to think something is wrong, the exact steps you are taking to cause these results that you think are wrong, and what it is that you THINK you should be seeing instead?

Please explain where you are searching?
Are you searching at Google.com or Yahoo.com or something like that? What are you entering into the search box?

Regardless, your website is brand new. The search engines don't know about it yet, and so you would almost certainly not find your website in such search results.

You need to register your website with the search engines so that they will come and index your site in their directory.

As a starting point, here are two links for Google.com that address this topic:
http://www.google.com/intl/en/submit_content.html
http://www.google.com/webmasters/

Try and get some additional inbound links to your site from other long-established sites - it will help your site show up more quickly and better in google searches if their spiders which are always spidering the web find their way to your site from other sites that they already have in their index.
