I was just wondering, after poking around the CNC for my account and my directories... are there mailing list capabilities here? I mean, if I wanted to set up a mailing list (the kind where people who want to subscribe, not that other smelly meat kind :P), is that possible? Or will it be possible?
Is it part of the account set or will it be an above and beyond type thing? If so, how much will it cost? http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
I know, I'm all aflutter with questions. I love the place so far.. things are working great.
Can people email icongarden@icongarden.com so I can check and see if my email-box is working? http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
Thanks!
Jake
Check out EZ-MLM at pobox.com/~djb/ezmlm.html (http://pobox.com/~djb/ezmlm.html)
And let me know what you think of it http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
We've found it to be far superior to MajorDomo in many ways and as such have installed it http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
It's in beta right now and we are waiting to get a chance to have some experienced Telnet/SSH command line users help test it out and play with it a bit. Would you like to participate in this? We can mount the man files online for you to reference if you're interested.
It's an awesome program but we do not have a frontend/GUI developed for it yet so everything still has to be done via the command line... e.g. the reason why the tile on your CNC is still grayed out.
We've a number of things in the works right now.... the mailing list is one of those things http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif
When it's ready to roll out -- it will be added free of charge to all current virtual domain package owners... after that it will be a matter of weighing the resources to decide whether or not we will be charging extra for it or just including it with larger packages. Odds are it will be free for all packages but possibly limited usage for the smaller packages.. we'll see http://www.aota.net/ubb/wink.gif

Neat!
Yes, I'd love to participate. I've been fiddling with UNIX/Linux systems for several years so I'm comfortable with command line (although I like GUI too, as evidenced by my owning and working mostly on Macs http://www.aota.net/ubb/smile.gif
Anyhow, let me know how things are going and I'd love to help out.

I am going to close this thread and start a new one in 'Server News'
FQuest Beta: ez-MLM
More details will come tomorrow as I finish converting the .man --> .html pages and mount them up in our 'dox' library...
