My new site and stats

I've signed an account with futurequest; i've not installed anything yet but I was taking a look at my stats and I've a question: how is possibile that I[nbsp][nbsp]get
9 pageviews and only 10 hits?
And another thing.... why the stat program is not able to
find out from where the user come? Probably because he is not able to find out Italian addres (i'm from italy).

Regarding your stats, the best way to figure them out would be to visit this tutorial area within Aota.net:

Also, as far as reverse IP lookups, that is addressed in the New and Improved Service Desk area "Find Answers.


The reason that HostNameLookups is not on, is due to performance reasons... DNS was not written to be fast, but rather scalable... When
a request is made for your web page, Apache must put the delivery of
your web page on hold while it sends out a DNS IP lookup request... This can present severe delays to the delivery of your content and also tie up extra Apache resources during the delay...
