I read it somewhere a few weeks ago in the FQ info but now I can't find it. What is the earliest version of Netscape Navigator (my preference over IE)[nbsp][nbsp]that I can use to control a basic site package I am about to purchase?[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]My Mac OS is 7.5.5 and I don't think my current Netscape 3.04 will do the trick .[nbsp][nbsp][nbsp][nbsp]suggestions?

For anyone with a dedicated IP (which would apply with any new full package account) any version of Netscape will work.[nbsp][nbsp]For the older more established accounts running on a shared IP I believe it's back at somewhere around Netscape 2.0 and/or IE 3.0

If the browser cannot see a site with a shared IP however, it also cannot view something as simplistic as html tables or many other various things used for today's web site development.

*Hoping I can remember my username/password..*

I keep a copy of NN2 around as a base compatibility test, it was the browser I first used (in Uni). It works fine for most basic pages, anything earlier and you have problems (eg no frames/tables, unable to view virtual servers etc). I gabe Mosaic a swing but it was just to oooold
