TrueType Fonts/Illustrator/Fireworks

Hi. a designer sent me a cool but odd font, one I have never seen before. In his notes he says: 'Note: the font is a sample font, which means you have to outline it in illustrator before exporting."

I took the font and installed it in my system, Illustrator sees it just fine. I much prefer working in Fireworks, but the font does not show up in Fireworks. When i look at the font menu in Illustrator, it says it is a True Type Font. But, why is it not showing up in the Fireworks font menu? I have restarted FW after installing the font.

I'm on a mac..... Is there some magic that I am supposed to know about "sample fonts"?

Nope. I decided to restart the whole shebang, and well... it worked. (I hate restarting!) oh well. there you go!
